The result is reduced swelling, increased blood flow, and easier future lymphatic movement. Many doctors recommend lymphatic massage after surgery to aid the bodies healing process. For tummy tucks, BBLs, and many other surgeries, receiving 6-10 weeks of lymphatic drainage will help the work settle properly offering a smooth look and removing lumps commonly associated with certain medical treatments.

SPORTS

MASSAGE

Pre-Event Sports Massage is applied before an athletic event to increase flexibility to decrease risk of muscle strain as well as prep the muscle for its upcoming work load during competition. Comprised of techniques that  are designed to energize and warm the individual. Clients have the option of getting taped with KinesioTape as well after the session to help bolster areas of weakness and reinforce the benefits of the bodywork.

Post-Event Sports Massage is applied after an athletic event to assist the athlete in recovery from the exertion they put on their body during their activity. Generally consisting of light compressions that do not put additional strain on the worn out muscles, the goal is to assist regulation of muscle tone and allow metabolic byproducts to be released from the muscle.

Both Pre and Post Sports Massage can be a powerful aid in any professional or amateur athlete’s usual readying and recovering routines.
